Necchi sewing cabinet

Can someone please tell me if a Singer or Sears Kenmore 158.1753 will fit into a Necchi sewing machine table?
I have the opportunity to buy a Necchi in a cabinet but if the Necchi doesn't work then I have other machines I can replace it with. 1 White, 2 Sears Kenmore,6 Singers and 1 Montgomery Ward. I'm mostly just board out of my gourd and need a reason to get out of bed! And I enjoy fixing up old sewing machines, and quilting. Thanks for any and all help♥

We need a bit more input. Which Necchi? They can vary quite a bit. Full sized Singer? John and Janey at our workbench have lots of measurements.

A full size Singer should fit just fine. The White maybe, ifit's a Japanese made White without a free arm. The Montgomery Ward same thing, if it's a Japanese built flat bed it should fit. The Kenmore no. Most Kenmore machines only fit Kenmore cabinets unless you do some serious modifications that to me ruin the cabinets.

Leon and Cari are both right.

If it is one of the old flat bed Necchi machines than a lot of the Singers would fit in it. It really depends on which Necchi the cabinet is for. I have some Necchi machines that aren't the same foot print as a full size Singer. If it is like a Super Nova, then probably the full size Singers will fit in it.

It depends on the which White you have. If it is an 11, 41 or 43 or like those than they will not fit the same as a full size Singer or Necchi cabinet.

Unfortunately my Signature/Montgomery Wards machines weren't near at hand when John was working on the "Universal" base board for the work stand. I have a UHT J285C that came with an adapter so that it would fit in a Singer or ?? cabinet. While the pins and spacing are the same, they are offset from Singers. I'm not sure that I've ever gotten it out for John to measure. I'm using it as a parts machine. One of the other Signature machines is in a portable case and I have misplaced it. I just remember it made a beautiful zig zag stitch.

This is a very picture heavy page that shows some machines https://www.quiltingboard.com/vintag...t264914-3.html
Post #51 A picture of the White 43
Post #62 Pictures of some of machines that have the same foot print (including Necchi SuperNova)
Post #67 Is a picture of two Kenmores. One is the more square cornered Kenmore that Cari was talking about having to really tear up a cabinet for it to fit.
I looked up the 158.1753 and it is like the more square cornered one that wouldn't fit. You didn't say what the other Kenmore is.

Italian Necchi's are very good machines, but like so many European machines they have very tight tolerances and like to be used regularly.

Janey - Neat people never make the exciting discoveries I do.

Almost all of the Japanese Kenmores sold in the US have the square corners. The rare occasion when someone finds a round cornered Kenmore that will fit in a Singer cabinet it's usually one made for the Canadian market.

I want to thank everyone so much for your help, the auction goes off tonight, and if the price is right, only $9.99, it's mine, not real pretty but pretty is that pretty does. It really doesn't take much to make me happy.

Wow you didn't say it was a Supernova They love to be used. If they are kept oiled and exercised they are great machines. Their precision makes the vulnerable to locking up if they are neglected. And just for fun..( maybe) they have plugs in the base for treadle use if you want to create an anachronism.

I am so jealous! That is a nice machine, and I would have loved to buy it, but its pick up only. You can probably get THAT machine to work, and you will love it.
