NECCHI sewing machine, made in Italy

1 Attachment(s)
Hi all,
It has been a while since I posted.
I just acquired a NECCHI sewing machine. I don't know much about them other than they were made in Italy.
This one is from the 50's. no owners or parts manuals. I hope to find them.
The ser# for this one is U114822.
If anyone knows anything about them I hope you'll share your knowledge with me.
This machine is in working order. needs to be shined up, oiled and the belt adjusted but other than that its great and must weight about 30 pounds in its carrying case. Phew. picture included I think ?
I look forward to any ones info.
Have a great day & happy stitching.

Necchi's are great. I have the Straight Stitch version prior to this model and it is a beast. Will sew through most stuff.

That appears to be the Necchi BU model.

Hi Tammy - I just got one of these as well. Mine's in a treadle table. It's definitely a BU or BU Nova. There are free manuals and service manuals if you join the Necchi Yahoo Group. If you don't want to join the group, PM me and I'll see if I can email you the pdf's. Unfortunately mine's missing the little thumb screw on that little plate that floats on top of the stitch width regulator. I've seen another one with it missing, too... it has a short thread so make sure you keep an eye on it! :)
Cheers,
Amelia

Hi Amelia,
Thank you for the information.
I have joined the yahoo group without reply's.
I would really appreciate the manuals if it is possible.
Sorry I don't know how to PM.
What else can we do?

Hi Wintersewer.
I too have a treadle-singer 1926 If memory serves me right.
It only had 2 owners prior to me.
Its proudly displayed in my dining room.
I haven't yet seen a necchi in a treadle.
these machines are amazing.
Happy sewing
