Need help please with a White Straight Stitcher

I was gifted with a White Straight Stitcher, model 575 (japan) and have spent hours trying to find its age, instruction manual etc. Hours on the internet has proved futal. Is there somewhere to find this info? Thanks in advance....Marie

I believe you have what is considered a 15-clone. Lots of information about these machines can be found at https://www.quiltingboard.com/pictur...p-t164361.html There were a lot of them made after WWII, consequently an exact age isn't available.

http://ismacs.net/singer_sewing_mach...ion-manual.pdf is one manual and another can be found at https://www.singer.com/support I believe if you just put in 575 in the manual search box, the search results will list "W575," which will be the manual for a White 575.

Janey - Neat people never make the exciting discoveries I do.

Janey and Johnny-Thanks for the reply. I found "birth" records on my featherweight with no problems, but this one not. I did save the booklet from singer.com, but instructions for threading might take some practice. Ha I have gifted my eldest grandaughter with it. It is her favorite color, but it is so heavy we have to get it set into a cabinet, (she has MS) and medically retired from the US Air Force after 15 yes. of service. Now we can get on with helping her with a quilt making hobby. Thanks Marie
