Need help with positive ID on Machine
 

I cannot get a positive ID on this machine, help is needed. The serial number is DA21254. Is this short one number to be a Singer? The name has been removed from the machine, without leaving any marks. The badge has also been removed and this did leave two small pin holes. The moter and none of the parts have singer markings. I was thinking clone and not sure.

I would say it's a 15 clone. The face plate is like the one on both my clones. But without a better full front close up I can't really say for sure.
If you have this machine look under the bed and on the parts. If is is a Singer there will be Singer part numbers. If no part numbers I'd vote clone.

I,m still saying clone. It just looks like one. Especially with the lack of Singer #'s on it.

It's also got a strange looking wide ZZ foot in it.

I don't see any Singer serial numbers with another letter after the D.

I have seen a Singer with that decal on the base. And I have a 15-88 with that end plate, but the decals are plainer on the base. the 15-88 is similarly styled. Mine is a treadle, but it could have been electrified with a potted motor.

Hi Ken, this machine definitely is not a Singer. Another poster wrote that they've seen this decal on a Singer, but they're incorrect; it's close but not a match. The faceplate pattern resembles that of the model 15's from the 1930s but is not quite right. The shroud holding the bobbin winding assembly is all wrong for a Singer. And peculiarly, as another poster noted, it's got a zigzag presser foot despite the fact that it's clearly a straight-stitch machine. I'd say you've got a 15 clone and someone swapped out the presser foot.

Thanks to everyone for all of the help. I am now convinced that the machine is a 15 clone.
