This is the machine I have, it needs the little thread guide on the front, the first place the thread from the spool goes. I found this video, but I haven't been able to find info on getting parts.

It threads from the back from sewing. Does it have the screw for the little thread guide? If so you can cut a fish hook end off and attach it through the loop. All that one does is catch thread when you wind the bobbin. Or you can use a side winder.

Thanks for the good ideas. I thought that I could use something else, never would've thought of a fish hook!

Good luck. The feed dog broke on my white machine. And the only way I can replace it is to find another machine like it. The fish hook sounds like a good one.

I found that idea when I bought out an OSMG a while back he had fish hooks all over the place - then I realized he was using them to make thread guides.
