needle bar removal

Hi everyone,

I'm working on a 15-91. It's in pretty bad shape.

I've managed to gut most of the parts under the side cover but I can't figure out how to get the needle bar out.

Every time I put a screwdriver on the screw that holds the needle bar to the main shaft the whole unit turns and I can't get a good grip on it.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Why are you gutting the machine?

It's been neglected, and it's hard to turn by hand figured it probably has lots of gunk in it.

No need to totally disassemble it to clean and oil it. That's why we use Tri-Flow and or other penetrating oils.

k, Thanks Joe...

Joe is right - no need to gut a machine. Tri-flow works wonders.
