Needle confusion

In need to put my Singer model 66-1 back to operational it's serial# G4002948 I believe this puts date of manufacture at 1915. What I need to know is what needle the 66-1 uses? Is it the same as the regular model 66? Only information I have located referes to model 66 hoping to buy leather needles for sewing soft leather upholstery. Any help would be greatly appreciated

if you google using the phrase "needles for vintage singer 66-1" you should find several sources that look (at least to me) like they will include the specific information you need.

good luck! :-)

The 66s all use a class 15 needle.

Got machine up and running thanks so much for your input. Also ordered an original manual, it's even the correct year! Well thanks again.
