New arrival to my clan -

I am so excited. I just picked up the latest addition to the family. The cover plate should not be a problem. Can anyone give me an idea of how much I should charge when it's refurbished?

This is a beautiful machine and cabinet!

How much is your time worth? You can always lower the hourly charge by the value of the enjoyment you get from doing the refurbishment. How much will your supplies cost to buy for the refurbishment? Are you refurbishing for family or client? Is the treadwheel going to need work, too? Are you refurbishing the cabinet? Too many variables to offer an example. Check online to see how much refurbished models like this have gotten on the marketplace in the past and that will give you a realistic idea of what folks might pay to have a beautiful one in their home -- especially if it works!!.

Even if that machine gleamed like a 10K diamond, it wouldn't sell for a hundred bucks in my far north US neck of the woods. The cabinet has been nicely stripped and appears ready for a finish. If the repair work is done to the sagging area, someone might give $50 for it to make a night stand out of it. The cabinet will never be original again, no matter how nice it looks.

In an urban area, it could well be a different story. But I watch my local classifieds like a hawk and I can tell you, nobody wants old treadle machines. They go for $25 to $50, almost regardless of condition. About a year ago there was a gorgeous Davis Underfeed. It shined like new and the lady couldn't get a hundred bucks for it.
