New base for my Riccar
4 Attachment(s)
Hello all,
I wanted to make a new base for my Riccar. The original is made of plastic and looks cheap. The machine weighs a hefty 31 lbs. and I could just see the handle snap off when I least expect it. I used some scrap left over from the murphy bed project. They were only 2" tall and after making the base, the Riccar had a few appendages that would hit the bottom so I cut a few clearance holes. I access the power block through the right hand hold. I need to rewire somewhat to clean up the tray area so I can put the lid on for neatness. I plan to make a few more in the near future, but, for now I have 2 more lap quilts to make for the office girls for Christmas gifts .:) Soman2 The other Rodney |
That is great work! Now your Riccar looks impossibly good. You should do custom orders on eBay -- you'd sell a bunch of them.
