New Companion Treadle
4 Attachment(s)
Here she is folks. Her name will be Effie named after the original owner. She was purchased from the great grandniece of the original owner and thus this machine has a family history. The sewing machine had a "hitch in her get-a-long" which Triflow alleviated. The veneer needs work, machine head needs cleaning, the treadle stand oiling and cleaning. Pics will follow of the attachment box later. And a big thank you to Rodney for the "enable", LOL. Oh, by the way, there was another sewing machine with Effie. It is a Kenmore 117 in a very nice cabinet, in great condition with a manual, attachments and the original guaranty. Yep, bought that one too but will pick it up on Saturday.

Very pretty, very interesting machine. I look forward to your pictures as you clean and restore her. I hope you'll do the cabinet as well - it's also very nice. I don't know how those shuttles work - will have to look it up - but it looks complicated!

I bet that will clean up to be amazing!!! Nice buy!
MFord: nope, the shuttles are super easy, even for a hamfisted guy like me., |
That's a nice find Caroline, I like it.

I'm just happy you're not mad about the enable. :) I need to get several other projects out of the way but once those are done, probably 2 or 3 months out, I'll be happy to help get the cabinet back into shape. Call it my way of asking for forgiveness. That is a pretty one and worth the asking price just for the cabinet and irons.

She is a Grand Older Lady. I will have to keep my eyes open. I love all that throat opening..
