There's a little information on the Automatic Chain Stitch machine.

Here's some info I found. Did not read through all of it so don't know if anything deals with New Home but might be interesting reading for you. Also, here's a bit of history on the New Home machines.

Thanks Joe , I had found that . Other the dating it on Ismacs , that’s the only info I could find. It appears to date to 1912 . The odd thing is it’s a dead ringer for a late 1800s Wilcox & Gibbs . They appear to be identical except the fabric plate has all the New Home info engraved on it and the base has a NH emblem where the W&G emblem would be . It’s a mystery. Thanks again

My husband was just in Bahrain, and bought our niece some beautiful dresses with extensive machine chain stitching on them. He sent me a video of the craftsman at work - it looked like he was using an old machine to make the designs. So cool!
