New Home Sewing Machine, Model 522

I have a New Home, Model 522 sewing machine that's in a built in cabinet. It has the manual, all original parts, even thread still in the cubby holes from where my aunt last used it. I'm wondering if anyone knows anything about these machines, or where I might could find some information about it. I'd love to be able to sell it, but I have no idea about this brand, or what it might be worth (if anything at all!!) I think it's about 20 - 30 years old, but may be totally off on that also. I'm sure there is somewhere that I can find the age of it with the serial number, but again, don't know where to look. I did google it, but didn't come across any information that helped me. One site I came across makes me think Janome use to produce the New Home machines. I know this board is an incredible source of information, so thought I'd turn to you guys. I can post a picture later if that might help.

Thanks for any info you may can give me,
LeeAnn

Does it look something like this one:

I have a New Home but mine is one of the really old black treadle machines.

I have a New Home model 1108. It is all metal and runs like a charm. Found it at Good Will for $12.21, bought it, cleaned and oiled it, and it works like a dream. It was balky before the clean/oil. It does need to be cleaned more frequently than my cheapo brother, which also works very well, but the stitch is nicer, so it is the machine I use most.

Of course, none of that helps you price the one you found. Sorry.

It might be worth $30 - $50 depending on how bad someone wants it.

Yes it's similar to that. I think it's white. After Thanksgiving, I'll try to get a picture posted.
