that is fantastic! I would give up ALL of the machines in my collection for the ONE machine that my Grandmother had and my Uncle threw away......
Looks like your Mom took GREAT care of it. Welcome to the board! |
Hang onto it. It is wonderful. Mfgrs. don't make things like this anymore.

It is so wonderful to have a machine with a personal history. I have a Damascus treadle that belonged to my Great Aunt May. Unfortunately I never knew her - but it was always in the upstairs bedroom at my great grandmother's house and I loved that room when we went to visit. They are so much fun to sew on.

I am in awah with you over this machine. I have a treadle machine that Santa brought to me when I was in the 5th grade, approx 1957. the machine was purchased for $10.00 my father refinished the cabinet and the fixed the machine as well it was (frozen-up)(rusted -up).......I love my little Singer machine it sits in my den today, as a show piece. It works beautifully, making a wonderful stitch. The throttle plate the date is 1869.....I can just see all the items made on these machines....I just love to remissness about this era. granneyrat-Blackstone,VA
