Very nice, you have a 128 there, not a 27. It's also probably a bit newer then 1910 as ISMACS has this model and decal as being used by Singer from 1912 to 1960.
If you looked up the serial number to get the date and model number - check and make sure you have the correct number. it gets goofy for the G series as Singer went from 000,000 to 999,999 and then went to 1,000,000 up to 9,999,999 and then since they needed more, jumped to 0,000,000 and went to 0,999,999 |
SOME of the G series numbers have no information available due to the factory being bombed during WWII.
Also NEVER EVER, EVER use anything containing alcohol to clean the antiques. Alcohol is the thinning agent for the top coat that singer used on the original machines and you will eventually ruin the finish. |

You mention it's a 128. What's the difference in a 127 and 128, manufacturing sequence?

and the 27/28 are the early versions of the 127/128 which were the "improved" design

I love the decals, it amazes me that that many years ago they used them and they have held up so nicely on some of the machines.
