dh drove to the city and got this today... isn't she pretty? we don't know anything about it at this point.. so we are researching and trying to find a number on it... anyone know of any info.. everything on the motor is japanese except one number

we found a number. says 1956 made in japan in the city of UTSUNOMIYA. so far that's all we have found.. it looks like it was never used.. presteen and clean
Utsunomiya, capital, Tochigi ken (prefecture), Honshu, Japan. The city is situated on the alluvial plain between the Ta River and the Kinu River. A castle town in the 11th century, it later served as a post town on the Nikkō Highway during the Tokugawa era (1603–1867). The city became the prefectural administrative centre in 1884. During World War II industries were relocated to Utsunomiya from Tokyo, producing railway cars, aircraft, and machinery. Utsunomiya’s other manufactures include processed foods, paper, and tobacco. we have no clue about this but its interesting to see what comes up on the date and the city.

Did they have decals in 1956? or is it hand painted???

i have no clue.. but i keep rubbing my fingers over them and i don't feel anything.. so smooth they aren't scratched or messed up.. every single one is perfect.. amazing..
