Old machine

My friend was given this old machine..I cleaned it up a bit and it runs. I've never seen one like this, especially the bobbin. The only numbers I saw was on the motor #117-617. Is it worth anything? Can you get parts for it?? What should I do with it?? It would be nice to know how old it is.. I sure would like any information on it. Thank you, Bette

It's impressive that you were able to clean it up and got it to run. Beautiful. Hope to see more input posted.
The foot feed is exactly like the one with my 1940 Featherweight. I'd never seen another like it. Appears to perhaps have been, or could be used as, attached to the side of a cabinet for a knee controller - ?

Good info you found, Kay. That's a really valuable site for information on tons of sewing machines.

I think this machine was originally treadle and had the motor added in later years.

Nice machine. I agree that it was probably originally a treadle and the motor was added later. Even so, it is a great collector's machine.
