old serger

a while ago I found an older model of a serger at a yard sale. gentleman said his dad did sewing and he had a sewing machine for sale. he wanted $7. When I saw what it was, I of course grabbed it and ran to the car. smile. It is a Brother Lock 626. I got it for my daughter as I am not interested in it for myself. (go figure). I don't know if it works, but it has 4 spools of thread on it, though not threaded. Does anyone know where I can get an instruction book for it? Can anyone tell me about it?

I would write to Brother and ask for an electronic copy. They have a good reputation for helping out with manuals.

Have you tried ebay? I bought an old juki at a yard sale for $5.00 and found a manual on ebay for $7.00 . It was frozen solid, but I finally got it broke loose. She cleaned up beautifully and sews like a dream now. Named her "Sunshine", she's a beautiful yellow color. Sometimes you get really lucky, and all they need is TLC.Hope you find your manual.
