It is a great cabinet, I sure would keep it.

I love the cabinet original or not. I have a Necchi cabinet and mine has a metal tag inside saying "Another Necchi Cabinet" with a serial? number. Have you looked underneath or inside? I'm not sure if they all had that or not but it's something to look for.
