Parts help for my "new" 301

been doing a little looking on my 301 and i appear to be missing the "rear" thread guide. the thread comes off the spool and is picked up by a guide... before it crosses through the slot to the front of the machine, I dont have anything there :( any idea where i might pick up one of those ?

I am responding to your SOS. I have one of those thread guides and the teeny tiny set screw that holds it in place. This comes off my 301 "parts machine". It is late, but do you need a picture, so that we are sure we are both talking about the same thing?

That would be Awesome, And no hurry, if it is to late tonight .... I have plenty of machines to use for now ;-)

Dayle, do you have an extra screw for the needleplate? I dropped one when cleaning the bobbin area and never found it so ordered one from sew-classic, but it's a little bigger and not as smooth as the original. Not a sewing issue. I just like smooth and matching. The color of the replacement is a little off, too.

greywulf, you'll like the 301.

Irishrose, I will check. I have a busy morning, but should have time to get that machine (and its pieces) out again later today.

Thread Guide Pictures

Here are pictures of the thread guide. The first picture shows it on my "good" machine. Note the little screw right below the guide. The picture is taken from the back side of the machine.

The second picture is of the actual guide and screw taken from my "parts" machine. I have them scotch taped together, because that screw is so tiny.

I don't see a way to send pictures via PM, so I have made this post. Please PM me with your address, and I will send out the guide and screw if they are the right thing for you.
