We all know those who ask us how much their machine is worth. They are thinking old and pretty and they see $$$ in their minds. When I first saw this she wanted $250. I suggested it was pretty high so she dropped it to $150 that day. 7 months later she offered it to me for $50..Still not at all certain I need a Ruby VS with leaf tension. hmmm.

I have this Ruby New Home and it is a great sewer. Mine is a hand crank. The leaf tension is no problem and works very well.

Sweet! Score

Yet another one you probably won't bring to a CO get-together ;)
PM coming your way.

My Household 3x is a VS leaf tension. Easiest thing on earth to adjust. I've repaired camping tents and winter coats on it. That machine sews anything. Yes, yes, you need a Ruby.

Thanks all. I am comfortable with leaf tensions. I prefer them to rotaries. Far simpler to keep up. Still working on the space issue. mm and just forfun. The Ruby has a drip cloth under the head. Who knew?

We'll see if I end up with it. It has a lot of accessories, too.

Great detail and completeness on this one. I'm biased though 'cause I love non-electrics. But I also know too well the lack of space.
