Pattern to build a singer sewing stool ?

Does anyone know of a source for a pattern to build a singer sewing stool? My web search didn't yield anything.

I'd like to build one to match the Singer 71 cabinet
http://ismacs.net/singer_sewing_mach...ny/71_cab.html.

I do have the stool that matches the # 42 cabinet http://ismacs.net/singer_sewing_mach...ny/42_cab.html , but I'd rather have a pattern than have to think and figure in reverse, with an item that isn't an exact match. And my woodworking experience is...limited.

The stools aren't found often around here. I have seen repro ones at a sewing shop, but these didn't appear to be made out of hardwood. DH has a good selection of ash and elm that can be used.

Thank you!

As near as I can tell the cabinet in the link you posted is Mahogany. Other woods, even with stain, won't match well.
I doubt anyone has drawn up a set of plans for it. The Singer stools I have are both pretty much the same height and size so you can base your stool on those measurements.
If you're lucky maybe a member here has one and will give you some detailed measurements.

Walnut. Good point. Well, there is a good lumber supplier nearby, and it won't take much.

I think most of the stools I've seen are basically the same except the legs were styled different to match the cabinet.

My mother had one of those stools....then it moved on to my sister when mom passed. My sister has passed away also....wonder if old brother-in-law still has that stool??

I have that stool, do you want measurements?

Thank you, yes. A photo of the top w seat removed, if it shows the joints, would be wonderful, too.

Would this style work for you?

I'd rather send it off than put it in storage. It does not match the cabinet I got it with, and I have no blond cabinets, and no desire to refinish it myself.

Yes, thank you very much Macy! Small refinishing I do, it's the bigger projects I have trouble with. :). Please let me know how much for shipping. I love those joints...built to last!
