PE Design 4 - Help

I was given the PE Design 4 and the card reader/writer. However, the power cord is missing. Does anyone know where I could find this power cord?

Dealer wanted to sell me upgrade for $200 instead of a cord.

I have this software set left over from when I upgraded...and I think you are talking about the adaptor that plugs into reader/writer box and then into wall outlet. ?? But I cannot break up my set as then it would be incomplete for reselling. But Brother should have a replacement--from their store....have you directly asked the tech help people? Many people still use their V4....AND older software. You can digitize and do most that later versions do. Worth doing some searching.

Or are you missing the cord from the writer box to computer? That will be a serial OR parallel port connection (either one will connect you to a PC. I'm sure you can pick up one of those almost any supply store. Cannot connect to a laptop in most cases because they don't have serial or parallel ports, as a rule. Mostly USB ports today, and that is partly why the next upgrades have USB connectors. However, I've done some research & I believe you can find a serial/USB cord if you look around. Also, you can get an adaptor for connecting to USB port. Hope I have helped you.
