I was about to check out at a favorite thrift today. A staff person walked by me carrying a mid 50s cabinet. I heard the chunk sound of a head slipping . He walked into " employees only" So I thought I'd check it tomorrow. well, maybe. I went through the store to where they put sewing machines. 20 seconds later out comes the staff.

Moments after he put it into place I opened the cabinet with antici .....pation.
Head was still cold But alas it was an early dashboard BelAir. Walked away from it.

BTDT, I can't count how many I've passed on. It's still fun to check them out even if they don't go home with me.

Was it red? The red Bel Air machines are highly sought after.
