Pfaff 60

Anyone have any info on this sewing machine. One has popped up for sale in my area, and caught my eye. Not sure if these are strong, dependable sewers, or if they're just ok. I know that Pfaff is a really good name, but I know nothing about the vintage machines. Any info you can share is appreciated. Here's a pic....

It sounds too expensive to me. If you loved it it'd be different but sounds like you don't.

You're right, I don't love it. But...for the right price ;)

If in working condition, they're great machines. If they have problems, they're a beast to repair. And not many people will touch them anymore due to the time it can take to get them working. If you really want it, make sure you test it. Make it do a straight stitch and zig zag and be sure to notice any issues. This model looks to be SS and ZZ only so it's apt to be working o.k. I've seen most of the problems with the machines that have the embroidery unit on the top that can add a whole level of headaches when it's locked up.

Hmmm, with the possibility of problems, and considering that repairs can be a bear, I think I'll pass on this one. Thank you for the valuable information Candace! I really appreciate it! :)
