She is actually one of the machines at our church..sitting there doing nothing... I haven't seen our Pastor to ask if I can purchase her... She needs some wiring..the cords look old, but not frayed. AND, she weighs around 35+ pounds...One Big MAMA

Wow.....looks like a cadillac!!!

If you can get the machine than get it. You will find out that it will be your go to machine for everything. They are very well built and in my opinion are better made than the Singer 15's. I have a Universal 15 that I use for everything and is by far my favorite machine in my studio. You can drop the feed dogs for FMQ and you can use any low shank accessory that Singer has with it.
I am hoping that your Pastor will let you get it from the church. Billy |
Funny you mention a Universal. My husband sewed a lot of his clothing in his high school years..I have his Universal, but have not really done anything with it...I am certainly going to open her up.. However, I believe it is more of the later heavy duty machines..Its a two-tone metal..not the black vintage machine

pretty baby!!!

I have this very machine gifted to me recently but no manual. I have no idea what the dial o matic does or how to thread it. I would be happy to pay for a copy if you have one as I am not able to find any on line.
