I've seen a couple other HOTHER machines. Only one like this one. It was on GW and I got outbid :( . I wanted it because it had the original owners manual. I figured I could duplicate it and have one for mom's old machine too.

One of these days when I get the case finished I'll do a thread on this machine with lots of pics. You will be surprised at the fact this machine survived without being a rusted pile of junk.

At first glance I thought it said 1962?

The scanner didn't flatten out the crease in the paper. In person you can see it's 67.

Neat you found that! Have fun sewing a bit with it!

Great find, Joe. Extra special because it belonged to your mother.

Could it be '47? Sometimes a four written in a hurry can look like a six. Did your mother ever live in Farmington NM?

It looks like it says 62 to me. Compare it to the 7s he wrote below and they don't compare at all.

We lived in Farmington from about 56 -57 to 50-60. I'm not positive of the exact year but I was in Phoenix in November of 63 and we'd been there for a couple years by then.

It compares even less to the "2" just to the left of it. Like I said earlier in the thread, it is "67", the scanner cover didn't flatten the paper very well. You have to realize I'm working with a receipt that has sat folded in the box for 45 years. I can't get it to flatten out and I can't be rough with it.
Here it is larger, I rescanned it and am posting it full size.
