I have a 201 handcrank and love it! The fabric pulls through so straight that it is not difficult to guide with only the left hand. I like that I can sew even when the power is out!

I put a reproduction Hand Crank on a 1914 Singer 66 and I love it. Sometimes I teach little girls to sew and they take right to it. As for myself I wondered if I could master sewing with one hand and even I could do it. I would recommend that you try it!

Thanks to everyone for your stories. I think I understand a little better. Maybe another sewing machine that is already hand crank will find its way to me...
