please help with sewing machine
 

My aunt died and my uncle game me her sewing machine but i know nothing about it to get a manual or how to thread the needle. it also need a bobbin case i don't know which one to order. I really need help i have a brother sewing machine but it dose not do what this sewing machine will do. I would love to use this machine i found one video on youtube that said Cool vintage good housekeeper sewing machine Rayna Morgan- niftythriftygirl We are niftythriftygirl! This is a retro blue vintage Good Housekeeper-badged sewing machine. Basically a White machine, with 1.3amp motor and all steel construction. Smooth as a baby's butt =) and a nice baby blue color too. Uses standard class 15 bobbins and 15x1 needles. It's a high shank machine. i just really hope someone can help me with this thanks for reading.

Nice little machine, I love that sort of machine, my vintage one needing a new foot pedal is a Remington.

Just a guess, I'm hoping someone else here can confirm re: bobbin case. Class 15 bobbin cases generally come in two styles,. The difference is which way the positioning finger at the top points, either to 11:00 or to 1:00.
Take a look at the bobbin case in your Brother machine (assuming the Brother does not have a drop in bobbin case.) Does it fit the inherited machine?
Take a look at the old machine - there should be a "finger receptacle" where the bobbin case fits. Does it point to 11:00 or to 1:00?

Welcome. I agree with WIChix about the bobbin case. I'm guessing that it is probably a "1 o'clock" position finger. I'm also guessing that the needle is inserted with the flat on the right and then threads from left to right. Most of the machines from this era thread much the same way. I tried to find one very similar and I think this might help - https://www.sewusa.com/Threading_Dia...ng_diagram.htm Another possibility is that it is a left-homing machine. You can determine if it is, by putting the zigzag foot on the machine and setting it for straight stitch. If the needle is at the left edge of the opening in the area where the needle goes, it is left homing. If the needle is in the center, between the toes of the presser foot, then it is not a left homing machine.

here you go.
Also, make sure to test it. Thread is from left to right with needle. if the threads bunches up in bobbin then make thread the needle from front to back. This also means you have to reposition the needle.
