A Potential Sewing Center?

http://jackson.craigslist.org/fuo/2944580309.html

What do yall think about this as a sewing work station? I need to redo the layout of my sewing room which is also my computer/office room. I have a computer desk that is "L" shaped and then I have a sewing table from Hancocks for one of my machines. I'm wanting to declutter and have room to put up more of my vintage machines.

I would make a lower offer of course!

Looks like it would work...... nice set-up for sewing. Let us see it when you get everything in place.

Looks wonderful, just make sure the height of desk is good for you. I'm short so most are too high for me unless legs are shortened!

Looks fantastic... lots of space and a nice neutral color so it won't compete with your work and your room. Good Luck.

looks like a great idea for a sewing center .... with lots of storage areas!

I use a computer table I got from work years ago for two of my machines. It is 72" long and has the holes for cords that I use. I had to remove the keyboard trays but otherwise works great. I like having the metal to stick magnets to. Height is fine for most things. Sometimes I use a balance cushion (like the Gypsy situpon) but that is more for my lower back. I have long legs and a short body. So, if you have to rais up you may want something to raise your foot controller too.

I say Go For it!!

I much prefer a table where the machine can go down into it to create a flat surface. Tables like this aren't nice on my back and neck. Maybe for an embroidery machine that you set to go and move away?

I would buy it, the added space is always nice to have

Your sewing room area sounds a lot like what I have also. There's so much stuff in that former bedroom I can hardly move around. So I think your find on Craig's list is a great idea. In fact, I think I will look for something like this for my room. What a great help it would be. I hope it all works out for you.
