pretty pround of the "old" treadle machine.
Used my 306w with zz ( just to overcast the raw edges..like a poor man's serger,) the rest is just a nice tight straight stitch...all on a treadle. They are still usefull. Suprised even myself with this one. http://www.quiltingboard.com/members...91-518012.html

I know you did it on purpose but all those loops in the basting stitches are hard to look at. ;)

Turned out great. She is a cutie!!

Very Nice!! She looks very happy and pretty in her new dress! :)

And just look at the stitch quality of those seams on slippery annoying costume satin! No ripples at all. A good sewist plus a good machine makes all the difference. :)

Quincunx, kind of you to say. I am obviously a rookie and we My Daughter and myself) both enjoyed this project and learned lot. I was just thrilled to be using one of the machines I rescued and restored. thought it might be a good reminder to all that a treadle machine is not just an oddity or a hobby it can be a real working machine and capable of some pretty involved tasks.
