Question about Treadles

If I collect parts like the legs wheel, all 7-9 pieces and put them together could I have a functioning treadle if I made my own top? Or is it more logical just to buy a treadle how it is? Would random parts even fit together? (if they're all Singer) ? Was just curious about this and thinking. Any information is much appreciated! Thank you!

In my area I can buy a treadle with a head for $50.00 USD. If your time is worth anything at all that would be the easy way to go.

Yes, I agree. They aren't very expensive to purchase. You can probably find one on your local Facebook Marketplace.

I agree with others that it is less expensive to buy a treadle
To further answer your question, not all Singer treadles are alike.
