Question on the Featherweight upper tention.

When I am sewing the upper thread take up leaver when at the highest position, all the tread it tight. But as the take up leaver comes down there is slack in the thread.

Is the thread supposed to be tight? I am wondering if this is the problem I am having. When the thread has slack then it bunches underneath the fabric.

I can get a picture if I didn't make myself clear.

Thanks

There is going to be some slack when the thread moves through the take up lever. If the tension is bunching up you may need to adjust the tension. I don't have time right now to search but there is a search at the upper right of your screen. Maybe you can search how to adjust the tension. Tammi has good info on her blog.

I was having simular problems, then I found that I need to thread the needle from right to left. That solved it..
