Question re: Walking foot - FW 221 vs Singer 301A

I have a wallking foot for a FW 221 but I actually do all my quilting on my 301A. I just finished a quilt and it would have turned out prettier on the back with the batting thickness used if I had used a walking foot.

Is there a difference in the walking foot for the 221 vs the 301A? If not, is it possible to use it on the 301A or will I have need to purchase one online? If so, where should I buy it?

Thanks!

The 301 has a slanted arm that holds the foot. The 221 arm is straight. You'll have to buy another foot.

You can get a walking foot at April 1930's. I've ordered from them, and they're wonderful.

The 301 uses a slant shank and the fw 221 uses a short shank.
