It is really sad that Sew-Classic closed. That is where I and others have gotten vintage machine parts. So that leaves Amazon, ebay, and other places. I don't have any experience with any of the following regarding parts. A quick search found
https://www.amazon.com/YEQIN-Sewing-...07C3S1KDR?th=1
https://www.sewingpartsonline.com/sl...ger-55504.aspx
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Front-Slide...e/401754816415
https://www.ebay.com/c/19006561820
and there are probably a bunch of others. I searched for "slide plate for 27 singer sewing machine"

Needle plates, front inspection plates, shuttles, balance wheels, bobbin winders are interchangeable between 127 and 128 machines. Yet slide plates and faceplates are not. If that can help you source your missing items ;)

Thank you, for the reminder. I think the slide plates will fit both, just that they are different length and if you get a 27 for a 28 it will stick over the edge of the bed and if you get a 28 for a 27 it won't go to the edge of the bed.

you guys are totally the best--placing my order tonight! Figure that treadle may be a great way to exercise my legs since I can't go to water wellness classes during the pandemic! I'll keep you posted.

I live in New Zealand and have received excellent service from Judy at:
https://www.singersewinginfo.co.uk/
and also from Helen at:
http://www.helenhowes-sewingmachines.co.uk/

They may be a bit hampered at the moment with the Covid situation but are usually able to help me with all sorts of oddball requests. Their shipping and handling fees are very good (and I'm at the other end of the Earth to them so they should be a bit cheaper to the US).

Often they have things available that are not listed on their web sites so it always pays to ask. Both web sites also have a lot of very useful information, and both women know a lot and, I have found, are very willing to give helpful advice.

Kind regards... Megan
