That's the fun part of making this type of quilt. Looking through all the scraps and remembering which quilt the fabrics were used in.
This is a modified Jacob's Ladder quilt that I still need to make the back and quilt.

I sewed a quilt for my little man - Wilbur is 2 on Monday. He LOVES to wear button down plaid shirts. I used 9 shirts and made a 9 patch, cut them in half and re arranged. I hand tied this one. It was sewed on my little Spartan.

I hope Wilbur likes it. Those were some of his grandpa's old shirts and one or two thrown in for color. Sorry I can't get the full picture on here. I'll try one more time. It failed again.

I like the split 9 patch pattern, easy to do but everyone thinks it looks complicated. The plaids make it look warm and cozy.

I'm making this for a co-worker as a present for his wife. I don't usually do theme quilts, and I've never done one that was patterned on both sides. The original plan was to quilt in a cross hatch diamond pattern, but I kind of like the straight lines. Any opinions either way? The piecing was done on my FW, quilting on the 15-91.
