Refurbishing your machines

WOW...... What a web site.. http://www.tfsr.org/pub/technical_in...ne_manual/This site has many pages dedicated to refurbishing Singer sewing machines. Give it a look.

I see that the site got included in the wording so I'll post again. http://www.tfsr.org/pub/technical_in...achine_manual/

Yes, Tools for Self Reliance is a fabulous site - I used it to learn how to remove a 201 bobbin case, among other things.

If you go here, instead: http://www.tfsr.org/publications/tec...achine_manual/ it's more organized and easier to see what you're downloading. :)

I have printed the whole manual and put it in a binder. The pages are in plastic sleeves as recommended. This manual is my "bible" for machine R&R and has given me a lot of confidence doing repairs.

What an awesome site! Putting together the habberdashery bags sounds like a great idea too. Good karma way to feed the thrift store "I have to buy this randomn bag of zippers and notions" bug or clean out sewing room cabinet drawers.
Thanks

That is a very good manual - I have a copy around to use too - helped me when nothing else had the info.
