Repair people! White featherweight - broken

This is on ebay as a return. Apparently the motor broke off when the item was shipped. Can this be welded back on?
The machine is going for under $30 right now.

Did you also notice it does NOT have a bobbin case ?

And people still want to pay $50 for it!

I looked at this very same machine. You can get a new table extension, but would have to repaint it. There is almost no way to match this odd shade of paint. If the machine sews, you can go for it. You can't weld aluminum very well. There are a few who can, but it is very difficult. If you aren't going to resell, repair it and sew.

It sold for $100 plus!!

Can you believe?!

Did you also note that almost all the bidders had few feedback scores so were probably new to ebay. Sometimes the hype overrides common sense. Hope the buyer is well aware of the problems you all noted.

if he packed it that bad in the first place, would you even want to deal with him ?????

When I saw it on Ebay the first time, it was already damaged from being dropped. It could be repaired. It would just take a professional aluminum tig welder. It probably went to a sewing machine repairman who is going to fix it and move it up in class.
