Repairing my Pfaff 1222 Log
Hello Everyone,
I am new here and decided to post my log on repairing my pfaff 1222. I am going to repair it myself, if not then I will take it to a technician. I do have the service manual. Here are the problems with the machine 1. Feeds dogs are running slow 2. no straight stitch 3. the marker (white) for the needle position is at 10 clock position. Also means the knobs are out of place/ Previous owner probably messed with it. 4. The machine is running all zig zag That is it for now. I will post pictures later and also my sewing machine. Any suggestions or tips before I start? Would love to hear. |
a warm welcome from another Pfaffie I had a 1229 but sister talked me out of it, darn was a great machine. have 4, 7570s and one 2054 up grade to 2056. Have been downsizing.

Good luck. I have one and it is still working, I did take it in a few years ago and the repairman said if it were more than an adjustment, he wouldn't be able to fix it as parts were thrown away when pfaff was bought out years ago.

Bought my Pfaff 1222 for $25, garage sale, took it in to my machine guy to go over it, thought it was running slow and he also changed out the foreign plug to our US plug. Like the built in walking foot feature.

I purchased a Pfaff 1222 at the DAV for $17 a couple weeks ago. Did you find a repair manuel somewhere online? Have you been able to get parts?
