Oh how wonderful! I so want a hand crank but in looking at recent prices, I have decided to convert a 128 that I already have .... especially since I don't need or have room for another machine. You got a heck of a deal. Good for you and enjoy!

That was one heck of a good deal and so glad you were able to rescue it. I have like it but it was electrified. But I still like it.

Nice find!! The crank alone is worth the price. The decals look pretty good too. Congrats!

Last summer I was able to secure a hand crank and balance wheel from England. Total price including shipping was a tad over $100 USD. I did not want to put a Chinese unit on my machine and since this would be my only hand crank, I did not think it unreasonable for an original from 1900.:) The machine was purchased locally for my collection.

Lovely machines. Such good finds.

Your machine looks like mine does. :) When I bought it, there was a 220 volt motor on it. I suspect it had been a hand crank machine, due to the fact that the bentwood top
fits on just fine, without removing the hand crank. I decided it would be better as a hand crank machine, so my 201K-4 machine donated her hand crank. I like to treadle the 201k, easier on my arm.

I take the 99K to TreadleOn Gatherings(TOGA) for sewing swap blocks and such.

Very nice find! Hand cranks are fairly rare over in the US, though I've never figured out exactly why.

She'll clean up beautifully!
