I have a Centennial 15-91, love using it! I took this picture when I was sewing thick leather for a chiropractor friend.

So the 15-91 is eluding me on the rotating bobbin. Seems very similar to my modern singer but it jams in normal rotation

Best picture of how to put the bobbin race together

Currently it is my go to machine, but I mostly quilt...

I now see it my modern singer bobbin case appears to be opposite of the 15-91 bobbin case. Could explain lots of my problems

I do patchwork on my 15-91. I have a newer brother and 4 vintage singers but the 15-91 does the best patchwork.
I take it and the cabinet to retreats. I recently bought a 2nd one to leave at a friends house because I sew there often.
I do have the foot pedals replaced with newer ones because I don't like those old post ones. I think the 15-91 is the
best of the singers.

the viking sewing and vac shop in Renton is also very good with vintage machines.

Some Singers use an 11 o'clock bobbin case and some use a 1 o'clock bobbin case.

I need to rewire my 15-91, I've been putting it off because piecing is so much more fun!

Isn't a smoking motor a sign that someone oiled it?? A big no-no. The capacitor is prob dead.
