I have one machine that took 3 months of that treatment and then one day, poof! it just moved. I was surprised to find that I was almost irritated when it did, because it had been so stubborn... But, it was made in the 1860's and well, if it took decades upon decades to seize up, it seems pretty silly for me to expect instant release.

The only thing I'll add to the conversation is be very careful getting those pins to move. They are more fragile than they look and if you break them you'll be SOL.

Thanks for the information. She'll stay in timeout then. Have named her Josephine after my grandmother. She too could make me swear and drink. ;)

Yep, just don't tell my mom. She might not be amused but then again Josephine is her mom.
