Hmm. I've gone looking for a pic, link...can't seem to find anything. It attaches to the screw and the pillar and moves when the screw is turned, giving you a relative length.
I'll keep trying to find a link. |

Rodney gave you good advice. My first older machine was handed down to me, a 15-91. Eighteen months later I purchased a 66 because I wanted a treadle. Like you I want my sewing room to be functional not cluttered. Each of my machines has a purpose. I look and it tugs at the heart. I pass on buying because someone may need it.

Caroline, I had not seen you on here before. I hope those machines are in GF. I too do not like a cluttered room, but after my 201 Centennial purchase, it is getting that way. I do have one of my Featherweights sitting on top. I think we need a Valley Antique club so we can get together and discuss what we have and learn from each other. Hillsboro? Thanks for your post.

Yes, Veinurse; I'm new here. I discovered this site while searching for a more user-friendly quilting forum. Then I found the Singer 15-91 and learned just how informative this site can be!
We are practically neighbors! I live in Larimore; it's 138 miles from my house to the Barnes & Noble bookstore in Fargo. Hillsboro would be a great meeting place. When I make my yearly trek for Fargo Shopping I always stop there for a stretch break on both going and returning routes. Yes, the Singers - 99K and 66 - are both at the Dakota Boys' Ranch Thrift Store, Demers St., Grand Forks. At least they were still there last week when I took the photos. I bought the 15-91 at the Valley ARC Thrift Store across the same street. If I ever get this house cobbled together I should have more time to do some thrifting/antiquing/junking in Fargo! |
