Seeing pink!

I seem to be collecting pink machines...the first is a Kenmore, which will need a lot of cleaning to remove the nasty nicotine yellowing. And it has no foot pedal (I sense a theme here). I just got the wiring from Sew Classic as it has a three blade connector (Model 158)...update to follow (whether it works)
The second is a hot pink Morse...no lid to the case and a few paint chips but she works! Question: Does anyone know why there is a second light under the lid near the thread spool? There is a light by the needle to illuminate your work area but why a light underneath the solid lid? BTW, the second light works, still don't see purpose for it. Happy Day! Metro Detroit seems to have a few of these pink beauties hanging around. |
I would imagine the second light is cosmetic. It probably lights up the dial and looks cool. I have a pink Morse too:>

I don't have any answers but love the looks of these machines!

I have a turquoise Morse but would love a pink one. Love yours.

Lovely machines! I only collected Singers, until I happened to find a few Japanese machines like my pink Brother machine and that blue Ward Signature machine. Now you people have me looking for colorful '50s and '60s imports, lol.

I am drooling over your Morse. Does the dial light up when the power is on?
|
I love pink!!! Lucky you.

Very pretty machines! I don't have pink ones, but have never come across a pink one. Found a Japanese knock off of a Singer 15 that was turquoise once.

I love your pink Kenmore. :D
