Nevermind.. that idea won't work. The drawers are not symmetrical. :/ This poor old cabinet is falling apart.

You could still fix it and just keep looking for the missing drawers. You may never find them but still..........someday you might.

Update: I have handed the cabinet off to a local carpenter who is going to try his hand at fixing up the drawers, reattaching bits, and in general getting everything structurally sound. Yay!

Today I set about cleaning and trying to polish the sewing machine head. It cleaned up well, but unlike my recent Singer project, the finish did not respond to waxing. After 3 coats, it is still covered in completely matte areas. I am going to experiment with some Meguiar's products, see if any of them can restore some shine.

I dragged a Sew Easy head home last night. Looks very similar to Seljun's . Mine is gummed up and I haven't tried to see if the shuttle holds a bobbin yet. It has some movement so that is helpful.

Seljun, do you have any 'after" pictures?
