Sewing machine feet on ebay
I just bought a new basic Pfaff from a quilt store (love it). Of course Quilt store sells additional feet but ebay is so much cheaper. I imagine they’re not “genuine” product. My owners manual has a disclaimer concerning the use of non-original accessories but of course they want to sell their products too. Opinions would be helpful.

I have/buy generic feet that work great in any of my mechanical machines and also my newer Sparrow. I don't like them on my newer Pfaff. I don't know why, but they just don't seem to work/fit as well as the Pfaff feet. I can use my Pfaff feet on other machines without issue. Maybe it has something to do with the IDT. Maybe it's mental, but I prefer the Pfaff feet with that machine.

For Pfaff machines with IDT, I stick to Pfaff branded feet. For my vintage machines I'm not as picky.

Just MHO, but I never buy knock off accessories, ever. Not willing to take the chance on the quality and yes, voiding the warranty on my machine. Again, JMHO.

I did find a set of feet made for the pfaff idt . They work great and are the same as the dealer carries, I googled pfaff sewing machine feet and it came up, paid around 30 for set of 12.

I have only purchased the brand specific feet for my machines. The LQS offers sales at different times. I have purchased some on-line though. Again brand specific.
I keep a notebook with the inserts and how to instructions for each one. If the machine doesn't have a box for the feet, they are kept in a small art-bin box labeled to the machine. |
