Sewing machine lift mechanisms
 

I have only two sewing tables that have the lifts and they are wonderful. I would like to put them into every table or cabinet. Does anyone have a tutorial for home made lifts?

Or is it just easier to try to find them on ebay? Thank you and Have a wonderful Christmas everyone!

How about an appliance lift? You can often find them at big box hardware stores in the kitchen area.

These were taken during progress - we do have doors on everything now LOL!! You buy the two sides and make your own tray - so it can be any size you want.

Which type of lift were you talking about? I've seen ones where the machine had a spring assist that helped when swinging the machine up, and ones that automatically lifted the machine out of the cabinet when you opened the leaf, and ones that had a spring loaded elevator type lift platform that the machine sets on.

Nice cabinets Cathy. Flush fit drawers are a lot of work compared to the ones that cover the opening but the end result is worth it IMO. The wood countertops and beadboard look good too. Very nice old school look but with some modern amenities.

You can buy the lift mechanism from Rockler, the woodworking store. They also sell plans to build cabinets.

Thanks everyone The two I have are spring assist and then I do have one Treadle machine that lifts differently. I kinda like the large spring because I can get those just about anywhere. I was just wondering if anyone had an easy to follow and assemble tutorial. I also need to keep the cost down so I can them o machines am selling, so the springs will be the least costly I think.
