Sewing Machine Model Numbers
I was just wondering how much difference there is in close numbered models of sewing machines. For example, I have a Montgomery Ward model #UHT J1277 and there is a manual on ebay for a model #UHT J1276. Would this manual be beneficial to me. I also have a Kenmore 158-1755 and a Kenmore 158-17560. Again would one manual work for these two machines.

Blackberry,
I can't say about MW manuals, but I do know there is enough differences between the Kenmore 158-17550 and 17560s that you should get a dedicated manual. The two I had were different enough you'd not be able to make them work right with each others manuals. Joe |
I "think" the difference on the MW models may be one uses separate cams and the other does not. My daughter's machine is a #UHT J1276 and it doesn't use cams, just a built-in camstack for about 8 different stitches.
