Sightings from a recent 'field trip'

Hi all,
this Monday dh and I went to a bunch of new-to-us antique/collectibles shops. These are some of the machines I spotted. Pics were taken with my cell phone so if they are not the greatest quality . Some of the prices were ridiculous crazy even with 15, 20 or 30% off. I was partial to the $450 - 30% :-). I wished the Singer fiddle base machine had been in good shape - I would have bit. Told dh I will be content when we have at home a handcrank and a fiddle base. Now, what you're not seeing is the Singer 128 La Vincendora (very good decals) that I would definately convert from electric to handcrank. Problem was the shop only took cash -who the *bleep* carries cash anymore and it was closing in a few minutes so running to the ATM was out of the question. Now judges, what should I do? Travel 1.5 hours alone this weekend and hope the machine is still there or take my chances and wait it out until March 7 when dh has a bowling tourney some what in that area. Non-negotiable price of $50. Or, just walk away. best, d Oh yeah, and the machine that followed me home today, well, um, stuff happens. :-) I'll have to post a pic for some help 'cos I can't locate the decal name. It is a Singer 27, that much I know. |
Wow, they are all beautiful, but I really like the first sewing machine, and the Willcox & Gibbs!!!
Cash only? Guess that knocks out sending a deposit to hold the machine. Anyone on the Board live nearby to help her out?
So, my question is, what is the pine cone and tassel state?
