Singer 107 W1
Saved one from a dumpster. The table caught my eye but the machine itself is all there, just no motor hooked up.

Can you post some pictures? I'm not familiar with the machine.

Here you go....
|
It's a commercial machine. Has the remains of the clutch motor and such but thats some bits are missing. This will get some type of motor modification, just not sure if It's worth it.
|
If you have all the other parts to run the machine, including needles and bobbins, I would work on a motor modification, probably a table top mounted motor with a belt drive, or you could look for one of the old Hamilton Beach reversible motors for direct drive. Without an industrial strength motor you likely wouldn't get the thousands of stitches per minute it may be capable of.
|
Bobbin is there but no bobbin winder. Needle is broken. If it cleans up and stitches well by hand cranking I was thinking maybe one of those (low duty) sub $100 brushless servo motor kits. This might be the new toy for practicing on some boating canvas.
A custom bow dodger is in my future. |
