Singer 115

I am thinking of purchasing a Singer 115 made in May 1916 for $35. Are the different parts, bobbins, bobbin plates, faceplate, etc compatible with other early Singer models like the 66 and the 99. This is a treadle machine with a vertical bobbin

in a word .,,"no" however they are the basis of the entire "Class 15" machine so while the bobbin is not the same as the 66 and 99 it is the single most popular class bobbin out there.... basically there are class 66 and there are class 15 bobbins ( at least for old singer standards ) face plates are unique as they have the tension adjustment ON the face plate but then again almost all the other models have face plates unique to that model. needle plates should be no problem for a 15 either.

The Singer 115 takes different bobbins and bobbin case than any of the other Singer 15s, 66s, or 99s. The bobbin is #55623 (also used in the Singer 20U33 and some Riccar models) and bobbin case #541678 (also used on the Singer 20U33).

The 115 is a full rotary instead of oscillating hook.

Had one, sold it, regret it... Nice machine, great stitches!

greywulf - I was out in the boat shed, and I still have two 115 for parts sitting there. If you know what you need, I may be able to send it to you.

This is my favorite 115 - this is a very rare decal pattern.

Macybaby,
That is really beautiful. What's the name of the decal pattern?
